Who is Annie?

What differentiates a photograph from any other? How about a photographer? Eventually, it comes down to the eye and the person. The eye is the craftsperson, seeing composition, light and dynamics of interaction.  This takes years to hone and perfect.

The person, on the other hand, sees you, your family, your energy, your joy and brings it out. The person makes you feel in your skin, and draws out your best self.

This is something a photographer either has or doesn’t. It’s who they are.

Annie McArdle Photography emerges from who I am in a way that draws out my clients with their most beautiful selves and energy.

My decade of professional photography has honed my eye, from intimate settings to grand landscapes.

My life has honed me as person who connects, who sees, who draws out the best of those around me.

I value the unique, the different, the intimate, the small spaces in life.

I am a woman, a mother, a professional, an artist, a designer, a romantic, an enthusiast of human creativity in all of its forms. I am intimately familiar with the painful difficulties life brings. And I revel in it’s joys.

I am the mother that can draw your kiddos in for that gleaming smile. I am the professional who can elicit that aspirational gleam in your eye for your headshot. I am the romantic who can join you in your vision for a wedding that sweeps us off our feet and evokes that joyful tear.

We’ll laugh together, even as we give you photographs that bring out the best of you.
